This dataset provides a visual representation of the geographical locations and broad geological settings of key mineral resources in Nepal and Gyirong County, Tibet, China. The data are primarily derived from geological and remote sensing datasets integrated within the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform; the reference year is 2025, and the spatial resolution for raster data—such as the topographic basemap—is 30 meters. Key mineral sites are represented by point-based vector markers (indicated by red pentagrams), with the points concentrated mainly in the low-to-medium mountain and hill regions of central Nepal and along zones of active tectonic faulting. Gyirong County is situated in the central Himalayas and shares close geological structural links with northern Nepal. The basemap combines digital elevation data with hill-shading to clearly illustrate the spatial relationships between mineral sites and features such as high mountains, deep valleys, and geological-geomorphological boundaries across the entire study area. To integrate regional data from both countries, a unified spatial coordinate reference system was adopted; vector data on mineral sites from Nepal and Gyirong County were spatially merged and overlaid with a seamless, 30-meter resolution topographic raster basemap that spans the national border, thereby eliminating boundary discontinuities and ensuring the continuity and consistency of information across the transnational region.
