To support historical disaster research and long‑term trend analysis in Nepal, this dataset systematically integrates multi‑source historical disaster records and related geographic information from the entire territory of Nepal and its surrounding areas, constructing a long time‑series historical disaster dataset that covers various disaster types including floods, landslides, debris flows, earthquakes, and forest fires. The various disaster events included in the dataset clearly reveal the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics and evolution patterns of historical disasters in the region.
This dataset can provide a data foundation for studies on the spatiotemporal distribution patterns of disasters, hazard susceptibility assessment and modelling, pre‑ and post‑disaster change detection, and long‑term environmental change monitoring in Nepal.
